David Climaco Garcia is a songwriter and composer based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Along with his solo work he co-fronts the band Beloved with his fiddle playing wife and co-writer Nikelle Garcia. David’s influences run the gamut from classic 70’s singer/songwriters like Paul Simon, Bob Dylan and Tom Waits to the swing era American greats the likes of Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Yip Harburg and back again through ‘80s & 90s new Wave and Post Punk writers like David Bowie, the Cure, U2, Ani DiFranco. David is ultimately on an endless quixotic quest to find the perfect hooky melody and the smartest turn of phrase and combine them into an arrangement that rewards the focused listener. He believes that a great song has the power to make the world a better place.
